At the evening of his 61st birthday Frank Natale left his body after long and serious desease amongst his family and close friends. He died in Honololu, Hawaii, where he lived with his wife Ichiko and his son Jason. He choose to consciously leave his body a few weeks ago and picked the evening of his 61st birthday as the choosen date.
Early on in life, still a young man, he had the extraordinary chance to meet and work with some of the key pioneers of the human potential movement, which was the beginning of the humanistic psychology.
He was on stage with Abraham Maslow, founder of Psychodrama, spend time in the hot tubs of Big Sur, Esalen with Fritz Perls, founder of Gestaltherapy and was one of the first encounter-therapists, trained by Chuck Dederick, founder of the Encounter Movement. As co-founder and clinical director of Phoenix-House, the first drugfree therapeutic-community in New York he gained international reputation. For many years he was a close disciple of Baba Muktananda.
His own Institute, TNI - The Natale Institute, which was founden in Houston Texas in 1982 did at its high time have representations in all five contintens at its high time. From 1987-1997 Natales main focus was his presence in Europe, especially in Germany, Italy and France. As Professor Trance Frank Natale produced a number of internationaly sucessful Trance Dance CDs and books. The last years of his life he spend in the US and in Hawaii.
Frank Natale was known as a charismatic and provocative teacher who had the capacity to draw from the complex realities aof psychology, spirituality, shamanism and music and combine the essence of those in a powerful way. The intense body of work within TNI entailed the area of Life Skills, teachings in basic skills of a self-determined and authentic life, Skills for the New Age and Spirit Lives, trainings and seminars focussing on metaphysical qualities of life, shamanic- and energywork and The ONE Experience, a process of initiation.
The last years of his work to some large extend were dedicated towards the study of extraordinary states of conciousness. Many were in favour of his work with teacher plants, natural consciousness-expanding substances, at the TNI-Institute in Amsterdam, Crystal Palace. However he was offended for that by govermental institutions.
Through his charisma and genius and his straight forward and often uncompromising way of pointing out delicate issues he inspired, encouraged and thrilled thousands of people all over the world.
As a rebell of the soul he never wanted to be nice and conveniant - and he wasn’t.
He was a great and gifted teacher, who was setting signs till the very end in the creation of his concious death at the day of Festival of light, Summer Soltice, signs of encouragement. They indicate that even death, the last great passage and challenge in life, is nothing but a transition into another dimension: No beginning, no end, only transformation.
